Kites
Generally speaking, there are three types of power kites: Supported Leading Edge kites, Ram Air Foil kites, and Stunt kites. For more detailed information on each type of kite, please follow the links to each section.
Water kites: Supported Leading Edge kites have an inflated front section to make them relaunchable from the water. This is the most common type of kite used for kitesurfing.
Land kites: Ram Air kites are generally used on land and snow, though there are some new ones that are making it possible to use this style of kite on water. These pack down very small and are easy to use, allowing you to focus on your board technique.
Stunt kites: Stunt kites are small controllable kites that bring the joy of power kiting to those on rollerblades, skateboards or kayaks, and make for an interesting form of exercise.
